ECHA has commissioned a study through the EU Observatory for Nanomaterials (EUON) to map how nanomaterials are used in flame‑retardant systems across sectors including construction, electronics, and textiles.
The study will assess their prevalence in the EU market and identify knowledge gaps around release potential, transformation, and end‑of‑life behaviour.
