  • NIA's regulatory lead gained early hands-on access to SSbD tools not yet publicly available, through a four-day EU bootcamp on embedding safety and sustainability into the chemicals innovation process.

On the week of the 22nd October, NIA Director of Regulatory Affairs, Dr Blanca Suarez Merino, attended the second Bootcamp on Safe and Sustainable by Design for Chemicals. This 4-day workshop focused on the use of the current PARC toolbox (Partnership for the Assessment of Risks from Chemicals | Parc) along the different stages of the innovation process. The workshop included hands-off experience of the tools which currently are not available to external users. A dedicated report will be available to NIA members and further information will be provided on request.
