The Nanotechnology Industries Association (NIA) has co-signed an open letter alongside leading business and agri-food industry stakeholders, urging the European Commission and EFSA to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the EU’s food safety risk assessment system. The letter highlights the need for streamlined procedures, better stakeholder engagement, and more science-based, innovation-friendly processes to boost the competitiveness of the EU agri-food sector.
